What kind of health and fitness training outside of your martial arts do you do (if any ;-) ) in conjunction with your regiment? Do you have a specific cardio workout you like to do? Is there a strength training regime you find works perfectly and really helps your martial art ability?

I run 2-3 days a week, between 2-4 miles and do yoga once a week.  Our class has a 1 hour warm up/ cardio/ workout prior to doing technique.  By far yoga helps me the most especially at my age (57).

I keep hearing that about yoga. I've tried it a few times and it was so difficult that I gave up. Maybe I should try a DVD or Youtube videos.

I stop at the gym every morning after dropping my daughter off at school. It's right on the way home, which makes it easy. I start with a brief run on the treadmill, then I do about 20 sets with the weights, not going very heavy, doing 12 to 15 reps per set.

In summer I swim laps at the pool.
