Try turmeric on your cuts - it worked for me

In the last year I've been reading up on the medicinal properties of many spices and herbs such as turmeric, thyme, peppermint, chili, etc, and have been experimenting with them in my food. Feed me, massage me, fan me

I'm tired, hungry and thirsty. Four hours of martial arts yesterday, and four hours today. My shoulders are sore, my left arm is bruised, elbows are slightly hyperextended, left knee aches, left foot throbs, and I'm simply beat.… Continue

Rain workoout

I did my almost-daily workout in the rain today, it was pouring down as it often does here. Awful to start of course, but after I got warmed up it was pretty nice.

I'm fortunate to have a nice big garden to work out in, although there's hardly a level surface in sight. Makes those TKD forms challenging again...

Hurry hurry

Upcoming promotion...I hope, or dread, depending on which day it is... Since we're not that many at my school right now, my students get to learn everything I have to learn - otherwise I don't have anybody to practice with.

Tonight we were going through some knife defense applications of basic "grab my wrist" techniques. Worked ok with the rubber knife but once we have the gross motor movements nailed I'd like to do it with permanent markers to step it up a bit and add the… Continue

Total Hapkido Day

I'm exhausted...spent the whole day between our two dojangs...

Went to our 12 o'clock class but there was no teacher, I was the highest rank (at least without

no being hesitant to get up + teach). It was fun and I think I did a go od job, all the students seemed happy... Then Judo, there were only four of us... i missed a week and also the evening class was changed to a day I can't go... at first the drills were tiring, but the grappling was fun, I was totally drenched, then off to… Continue

I'm dead meat!!!!!

Okay, so I haven't trained in almost a week ( besides some stuff on my own this past weekend),

Forgot some of my cross hand grab defense techniques because we haven't gone over them in a while..did okay on my partner throwing drills...so much… Continue
