Pivoting the leg when throwing

I messed up my knee badly doing Hapkido throws yesterday. We were working hip and shoulder throws, and on one of them, as soon as I threw the guy I felt a sharp twinge in my knee. It wasn't too bad so I ignored it, then after Hapkido class had a Kempo class, then the knee started to ache badly. Today I can barely walk on that leg.

2hr. Seminar with 10th Dan Soke John Davis

Hi Everyone! I'm back...I had a ornamental ironwork commission that has kept me quite busy and although I still was training, not at my usual intensity. I decided not to test for Bodan ( pre black belt) as there is a lot of material to learn + I don;t feel cramming it will do my training any justice. I will most likely test in February .

Traditionalists, MMA and bouncing.

Last week, one of our bouncers put a guy in a choke hold. He choked the guy out and wasn't paying attention. I had to tell him multiple times that the guy was out and to let go. On top of that, the choke was a tad bit premature.

Since this little incident my supervisor has put this guy into remedial training with me on proper procedure and other restraining techniques, and not just using a choke as the default go to technique.
